Offline Puzzle Games (package com.techjohn.offlinepuzzlegames). Last updated October 2026.
Offline Puzzle Games is playable entirely offline. The information below describes what the small set of online features — cloud save, leaderboards, sign-in and purchases — sends to our server, and to the third parties (Google) those features run on.
Information we collect
- A device identifier. On first launch the app generates a random id for your install; this is how your cloud save and leaderboard entry are found again. It also sends a one-way hash of your phone's Android ID (a random value Android gives each app on your phone), so that if you reinstall the game your guest progress can be found again. The Android ID itself is never sent, and a hash can't be turned back into it.
- Game activity. The games, levels and scores you complete, so leaderboards and your save backup work.
- Device info. Model, OS version and app version, to diagnose problems.
- Google account (optional). If you choose to sign in with Google, your Google email and account id, so your progress can follow you to a new phone and so you can delete your account from a browser.
- Push token (optional). If you allow notifications, a Firebase Cloud Messaging token, so we can send the leaderboard and event notices you asked for.
- Purchases. If you buy the ad-removal product, Google Play tells us the purchase was made; we do not see your payment details.
Advertising
Unless you've bought ad removal, the app shows ads through Google AdMob. AdMob may collect an advertising id and other information under its own privacy policy to show and measure ads, including personalised ads where your consent allows it. See Google's advertising policy and Google's privacy policy.
Usage and crash reports
The app uses Google Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics to find crashes and to see which screens players use, so we can fix problems and improve the games. They collect information such as the app version, phone model and Android version, crash details, which screens and levels were played, and an app-instance identifier. They do not collect your name or email. Where the law asks for your consent (the EU and the UK) they stay off until you give it. You can turn them off at any time in Settings → Usage & crash reports. See Firebase's privacy information.
How information is stored and protected
Everything above is sent to our server over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection and stored on a server we control. We don't sell this information or share it beyond the processors named here (Google, for sign-in, push and ads/billing).
Your choices
- Play entirely offline: skip sign-in and notifications and nothing leaves your phone except the anonymous device-identified data above.
- Turn off notifications any time in Settings.
- Delete your data: in the app, Settings → Delete cloud data, or from a browser at /account/delete if you signed in with Google. This permanently removes your cloud save, game history, devices and account link.
Children
Offline Puzzle Games is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
